Support a Pan-African LGBTQ+ Magazine from Ethiopia
Across Africa, too many LGBTQ+ lives are seen only through crisis or not seen at all. Since August 2025, we have been building a bilingual home for stories told from within our communities: with honesty, dignity, creativity and hope.
Why your support matters
Across Africa, LGBTQ+ people remain among the continent’s most marginalised communities. In 33 countries, laws continue to criminalise LGBTQ+ people in some form. Yet our communities are also vibrant, creative and resilient and our lives cannot be understood only through stories of persecution.
Without independent LGBTQ+ media, abuses can go unchallenged, histories remain undocumented and communities lose the opportunity to tell their stories on their own terms. Fatteh creates space for people to see themselves reflected fully and represented authentically.
